Amelia

A painting which I really enjoyed doing from my other web page http://www.sproutgallery.blogspot.com/ It was done for a lovely lady called Jenny and her little girl Amelia

For Monique and Peter

This collage was done for my friend Monique and her husbane Peter. I cut out bits and pieces from their wedding invitation. I Thought it would be a good memento of their special day.

High Societea

Alot of Brisbane blog girls interested in old worldly interiors, high teas and antique crisp linen will have definately visited high societea at Clayfield. This was a picture taken of the table setting at my birthday last year. We had a great table of ten wonderful women. That's my friend Melissa in the background.

Untitled

I painted this canvas pair for my friend Michelle when she and her husband Kevin were leaving to move back home. Luckily we are still in contact. Michelle loves red so this painting probably wasn't as red as she would have liked. Nevertheless, I am pretty sure she likes it :)

I painted them over a year ago but it wasn't until a visit at Christmas 07 to Michelle's home that I managed to take a photo of them. I must say, they have grown on me.

Little snowflakes

This painting started out as something completely different. It was only through my husband telling me to stop, stand away from the painting and put the brush down did we manage to save yet another canvas going in the 'till later pile.'

40cm x 40cm canvas rendered in acrylic.
Colours: burnt red, whites, blue and silver.

ARTWORK FROM THE PAST

The below is a little selection of works that I have done in the last ten to fifteen years - I found them stashed in a draw. They are a little outdated in terms of design (more clutter than minamalist in some cases) but they are still nice to view from time to time. I have included etchings and a few theming display shots. I was going to include more but they seemed out of fashion. However I have always been very proud of my etchings and hope one day to do more.

This etching titled 'knock before entering' is my all time favourite. They were done in the days when I went under the name of Michelle Williams.

Etching 'Storey of my life'

One of my favourite etchings. I just love old suitcases. Where they've been.
Who owned them,
loved them,
discarded them.
If only suitcases could talk.

'Storey' is supposed to be spelt that way...just in case you were wondering.

Etching ' Room with a view'

I loved the movie so it only made sense to etch it!

Etching 'Philadelphia'

I loved this house when I saw it in an old lane way in Philadelphia. The street was old cobblestone, it was summer and leafy. I just had to come home and draw it.
